Benefits of car handwashing
Hand washing your car might take a bit more time than an automatic wash, but it comes with some real advantages—especially if you care about keeping your vehicle in top shape.
- Much gentler on your paint. Automatic car washes often use stiff brushes or recycled water that can leave tiny scratches (called swirl marks). When we hand wash, we control the tools—like soft mitts and clean water—so there’s far less risk of damaging the finish.
- It also allows us for a much more thorough clean. We can get into all the little areas machines tend to miss, like around emblems, wheel wells, and under trim. That attention to detail sets us apart.
- We can detect early problems. While washing, we’re more likely to spot things like small dents, paint chips, rust spots, or leaks before they turn into bigger issues.
- Hand washing is also better for preserving protective coatings. If your car has wax, sealant, or ceramic coating, a careful hand wash helps maintain those layers rather than wearing them down quickly.
